Dimapur, October 31: Home minister, Y Patton, inaugurated a new office building of the Commandant, 7th NAP Bn, on October 31 in Bhandari town.
Speaking as the chief guest after unveiling the plaque, the Home minister said the long felt dream has become a reality after about 31 years of its inception. He said the Battalion in the sub-division was established in the year 1985 with only 31 personnel.
He said the sincere efforts of the government deserve appreciation and acknowledgement by the people. He appealed to the Battalion concerned, the public leaders and the people in general to make good use of the office meaningfully and in the larger interest of the public.
He also urged the police personnel to enhance zeal and motivation at work in order to deliver best service to the public.
The Home minister urged the people to have positive approach and concept to development in order to usher in development.
Director General of Police, LL Doungel, also spoke in the programme. Rev. M Woben Lotha, Pastor of PBC 7th NAP Bhandari, offered the dedicatory prayer. Chuba Walling, Deputy Commandant 2 i/C, 7th NAP Bn, chaired the programme.
