Hitman 3 is finally coming to Steam on January 20

Along with new content, of course!

Dimapur, Jan. 16 (EMN): A year after being exclusively available only on the Epic Games Store, IO Interactive’s Hitman 3 video game is finally coming to the Steam store on January 20, 2022.

During a special stream on Thursday, IO Interactive unveiled its plans for Hitman 3 Year 2 and besides announcing its arrival to the Steam store, players can also expect new maps, modes, and options throughout Year 2. Not to mention, players can now enjoy the game on VR on PC and the company is releasing new content bundle including the whole World of Assassination trilogy.

Apart from new content, players can also expect improvements to graphics including support for options like Ray Tracing, Variable Rate Shading, and Xe Super Sampling.

New Modes

The developer also announced brand new game modes for Hitman 3 including Freelancer and Elusive Target Arcade.

Freelancer mode will let players complete a series of missions with randomised elements. Agent 47 will be given a personalised safe house where players can prepare for missions. Players will need to plan out strategies and the game will drip-feed clues as the mission progresses. Players will also need to be careful about dying as any loot/gear taken on a mission will be lost for good.

Elusive Target Arcade is a new game mode where players are tasked with eliminating consecutive Elusive Targets, one contract after the other. Each one must be completed to proceed to the next – and there are additional complications added to the contract as well. 

Hitman 3 is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, and PC.
