Hindi teachers to continue with agitation

Dimapur, March 15 (EMN): The All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU) has announced that the organisation will continue with its agitation in demand for their salaries from the state government. The ANHTU issued a press release on Wednesday informing about a number of decisions for action that the organisation took during a meeting recently. The press release informed that leaders of the ANHTU and Hindi teachers under centrally-sponsored programmes conducted an emergency meeting on March 15. The teachers deliberated on “CSS Hindi teacher’s 9 month pending salary,” the press release informed. The group informed to have unanimously decided upon a number of resolutions. “It is resolved in the meeting that agitation will be continued until our department is fulfilled by the government,” the press release stated of the first decision. The teachers have also resolved that from March 10 “onward agitation” will be held at the Nagaland Civil Secretariats outside the gate. All CSS Hindi teachers are requested to reach the secretariat at 9:00 AM.
