Dimapur, June 27 (EMN): Directorate of Higher Education has organised a one-day workshop on “Research methodology and proposals” on June 27 in its conference hall with Dr. I Anungla Aier, Director of Higher Education, and Dr. Visakhonü Hibo, Principal of Japfü Christian College, Kigwema, as the resource persons.
The workshop began with an introductory session chaired by Medongoi Rhakho, OSD (A&R), Higher Education, while the keynote address was delivered by Dr. Watijungshi, Additional Director of Higher Education. The vote of thanks was pronounced by Atula B Aier, Assistant Director (SLQAC) of Higher Education.
During session-I, chaired by Menuokholie Kire, Joint Director (Admn) of Higher Education, the resource person Dr. Visakhonü Hibo, spoke on the topic “Research proposal, funding bodies, publication procedure and avenues.”
During session-II, chaired by Nokyanla, Joint Director (Planning) of Higher Education, resource person Dr. I Anungla Aier spoke on “Ethical issues on research and publication.”
The purpose of the workshop was to imbibe research culture which is a requisite for quality education and to promote professional development.
Altogether, 28 college teachers from the 15 government colleges participated in the workshop. The sessions were followed by interactions and a certificate of participation was awarded to all the participants.
