Higher Education department issues scholarship updates

Dimapur, Sep. 4 (EMN): The department of Higher Education has issued updates to students and educational institutions concerning academic scholarships. The government publicity agency the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR) gave on Wednesday updates about the notification.

The online scholarship application facility for the three schemes namely the post-matric scholarship, Nagaland merit and research scholarship and the NEC-stipend and book grant for the academic session 2019-20 has been live since July 23 till the 30th of Sept. 2019 via the common scholarship website, the IPR stated.

The last date for submission of the merit and research scholarship in hard copy, annexure-IV format of the post-matric scholarship within Nagaland and the NEC-stipend and book grant in hard copy by the Institutions to the directorate of Higher Education will be Oct. 31 2019, the IPR stated.

The last date for submission of the hard copies of the online scholarship application for students studying outside Nagaland to the directorate of Higher Education office will be Oct. 31 2019.

‘The directorate has already e-mailed annexure-IV format of post-matric scholarship within Nagaland to all the Institutions. The format can also be downloaded in the directorate’s website www.highereducation.nagaland.gov.in,’ the IPR stated.

The directorate shall no longer issue research forms to research scholars as it has been made online from this academic session 2019, the IPR stated.

Institutions are instructed to go through the guidelines in the given website for necessary instruction.

Applicants are requested to fill up the online applications at the earliest to avoid congestion at the last hour, the IPR stated.
