Dimapur, Nov. 8 (EMN): Demon’s Souls is one of the most anticipated PS5 exclusives releasing this year and SIE Worldwide Studios released a 12 minute PS5 gameplay on YouTube.

First released in 2009, Demon’s Souls, with its world-building and unique gameplay, went on to become a genre-defining action-RPG for PlayStation 3. The remake will be based on the original game but will have added elements like character creator option, updated animations, improved AI and reworked game graphics.

The PS5 gameplay video, narrated by SIE Worldwide Studios creative director Gavin Moore, gives us a closer look at what players will get to see in the new remake title.

One of the most noticeable and welcomed changes is the decreased load times for players switching between levels. Animations have been completely redone but the combat timings still remain the same which will endear to Demon’s Souls PS3 veterans.

According to Moore, players can play the game in “Performance Mode” for that sweet 60fps in dynamic 4K resolution. There is also a cinematic mode where the game runs in 30fps at native 4K resolution.

The remake will also have updated audio cues, soundtracks and other audio effects. “We’ve added thousands upon thousands of new sound effects to take advantage of the PlayStation 5’s impressive Tempest 3D audio. Now you can hear Imperial spies in the palace of Boleteria creeping up behind you or a creature slithering out of the slime Valley of Defilement far below. Now you can experience this stunning world in 3D audio just by connecting a headset,” Moore explains.

Moore points out that the PS5 DualSense wireless controller’s haptic feedback will also make combat feel “grittier and darker.”

At the end of the gameplay, we got a good look at the Dirty Colossus boss, and it will remind players of the horrors and challenges that lie in wait for them once the Demon’s Souls remake releases exclusively for the PS5 on November 12.
