Dimapur, Sep.27 (EMN): In yet another concern for the people, Wednesday’s heavy rain washed out one culvert on Dimapur-Kohima road near Kukidolong bridge making the traffic movement one-way and not suitable for heavy loaded vehicles to ply.
This information was circulated in social media, addressed to the deputy commissioner of Dimapur from the deputy general manager of National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (Ministry of Road Transport and Highways), Dimapur.
“The repairing and restoration process is underway and is expected to be completed by September 29, 5 pm,” it stated. Restriction on movement of heavy loaded vehicles and regulation of traffic movement has been imposed until the restoration process is complete. It further requested for deployment of traffic police personnel on site to regulate the traffic so that restoration work can be completed at the earliest.
