Our Correspondent Kohima, July 31 (EMN): The Kohima Bench of Gauhati High Court on Monday admitted the case filed by former chief minister and president of Naga People’s Front (NPF) Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu and former minister parliamentary affairs Kiyanilie Peseyie against 37 NPF legislators including the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) speaker Dr. Imtiwapang Aier. The matter was presented before Justice S Serto. It was learnt that the counsels for the respondents had sought three weeks’ time for filing of counter affidavits. Subsequently, the court allowed the time and the matter will be heard after three weeks, ie, the fourth week of August. Earlier in the morning, supporters of both the petitioners and the respondents were said to have gathered outside the court, with the former holding banners demanding for delivery of justice as per the Constitution of India. However, Kohima police confirmed that no untoward situation occurred.
