DIMAPUR — A two-day re-orientation training for healthcare workers on Integrated Health Information Platform (IDSP-IHIP) was conducted on October 12 and 13 in the conference hall of the chief medical officer’s (CMO) office in Longleng.

An update from CMO office stated that the two-day training was conducted by Angelina Jungi, PO Surveillance, NISHTHA JHPIEGO, as the resource person.

During the two-day training, Dr. Tiasunep, CMO of Longleng, emphasised on the importance of the IHIP reporting and encouraged all the health Units to give quality reporting.

It mentioned that IHIP reporting is a daily-based reporting system. Its purpose was to strengthen the disease surveillance in the district by establishing a decentralised state-based surveillance system for epidemic prone disease to detect the early warning signals so that timely and effective public health actions could be initiated in response to health challenges.

It further stated that lab-technicians, staff nurses, DEO, ANM, GNM and CHO of HWC, SC, PHC, District Hospital and IDSP staff attended the two-day training.
