Health team visits schools in Tamlu block

[caption id="attachment_247169" align="aligncenter" width="700"] SHP (RBSK) team along with the students of GPS, ASHA and Anganwadi workers in Yonglok village.[/caption] Dimapur, May 3 (EMN): Team from School Health Programme (SHP) under RBSK, office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Longleng, visited six villages in Tamlu block from April 30 to May 2 and provided health services to children. The team visited four Government Primary Schools (GPS) in Buranamsang village, one GPS each in Ngetchongching village, Namhaching village, Yonglok village and Shemnyuching village. The team also visited Anganwadi centres. During the visit, the team provided Vitamin A and Tetanus injections to the children, conducted health talks on sanitation and cleanliness. Besides, children were screened for defects from birth, diseases, deficiencies and developmental delay in the schools and Anganwadi centres. The team was led by the SHP (RBSK) medical officers Dr. Suimzenla Longkumer and Dr. Lirenthung Khuvung, along with two nurses namely Tongpangtula and Owyan, Taula Phom, SHP (RBSK) co-ordinator, and district media officer Roseline.
