Dimapur, September 22 : Three days after it made public its first inspection tour report on functioning of offices in Chessore town, the Yimchungrü Akherü Arihako (YAA) stated that the health sub-centre at Sangkor under CHC Shamator had been left abandoned by the department concerned and appealed to the department to develop the infrastructure of the building of the sub-centre at the earliest.
Established in the year 1971, the YAA, in a press release issued by its general secretary L Akhang, today said the dilapidated sub-centre building was vacated decades ago and it is presently temporarily functioning from Sangphur village guest house. It added that the health sub-centres serves more than 5,000 population of the two villages of Sangphur and Yakor.
The YAA has also stated it has learnt about irregularity of the pharmacist of the sub-centre in performing his duty and asked him to report to his place of posting within 15 days from the date of publication of this press release.
