Dimapur, April 30 (EMN): A one-day sensitisation programme for village councils and ASHA’s on ‘Ayushman Bharat Diwas,’ an innovative health programme, was conducted at the Paramedical Training Institute in Kohima on April 28. A press release from the Chief Medical Office on Monday informed that the programme was organized by the District Health Society in Kohima.
The press note informed that the Government of India would be launching Pradhan Mantri National Health Protection Mission (PM NHPM) to provide protection to the poor, vulnerable and downtrodden families in rural and urban areas.
The scheme will be based on entitlement. The entitlement of the beneficiary will be decided on the basis of family figure in Socio –Economic Caste Census (SECC) data. To make the scheme a success, the updates informed that it will be important to reach the targeted beneficiaries effectively and inform them about the scheme details and their entitlements. Identification of eligible beneficiaries and additional information such as mobile phone number, ration card number, and family details will be captured during Gram Swaraj Abhiyan’s sittings as initiated by the Government of India, it was informed.
