District Health Society, Phek has organized Health Mela for the inhabitants of Chozuba Block on February 19 at Chozuba CHC.
The health mela was inaugurated by Polan John ADC Chozuba. Short speech was given by Dr.K.Vikato Kinimi Chief Medical Officer, Phek. In his speech, he saluted the doctors, nurses & health workers to carrying out the noble service to the people, he ended the speech with God bless your hand before you start your work.
Altogether 337 patients availed the different service packages conducted at the Mela by doctors specialized on Gynaecologist, Paedetrician, Dentist, Optimic & AYUSH.Total of 18 Lap- ligations (female sterilization) & 8 Copper- T were conducted, also 30 HIV/AIDS were tested, 2 sputum tests were conducted, 30 dental procedures were done and 28 patients availed optimic service.
Information Education Communication (IEC) activities such as Focus Group Discussion were also carried out for eligible mothers on Ante- natal care (ANC) & Immunization. Leaflets, posters & pamphlets on different health issues printed in local dialect & English were handed out.
In the health Mela nutritional packages in the form of horlicks were given out to 17 pregnant women and also toys were given to 10 fully immunized children by Dr.K.Vikato Kinimi CMO & Dr.Ritu Thurr Deputy CMO.
Altogether 14 doctors who provided the service were Dr.K.Vikato Kinimi CMO, Dr.Ritu Thurr Dy.CMO, Dr.Wetshelo Paediatrics District Hospital Phek, Dr.Azo Gynaecologist DH Phek, Dr.Ngopelo Physician, Dr.Martin, Dr.Rukuto, Dr.Vijiho Medical Officer Chetheba PHC, Dr.Nutalu, Dr Kotso MO Chozuba CHC, Dr.Teisovio, Dr.Mughavi, Dr.Lima and Dr.Neisatuo.
