Dimapur, Jan. 8 (EMN): Health and Family Welfare department bade farewell to its outgoing principal director, Dr. K Vikato Kinimi; director, Dr. Thorhusie Katiry; and the additional director, Dr. Z Khesito Zhimo during a programme held on January 5 at its directorate.
An update from the department stated that the programme was chaired by Dr. Vibeituonuo Mepfuo, director of Health, while scripture reading and prayer was led by Dr. Khelito, joint director, followed with a song presented by NHM staff.
The commissioner and secretary of Health department, Y Kikheto Sema, delivered a speech, which was followed with a presentation by the incoming principal director, Dr. Temjentsungla, and speeches from the outgoing officers.
The outgoing officers, in their farewell speeches, expressed gratitude to all officers and staff for the support rendered during their 35 years of service. They have encouraged to continue working together as one and thanked Almighty God for His help in their journey of serving the department.
The programme concluded with a mass benediction.
