Health camp held to commemorate NMYO golden jubilee
KOHIMA — As part of the New Market Youth Organisation (NMYO) golden jubilee celebrations, Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) Seikhazou conducted a comprehensive medical camp on Wednesday at New Market Colony in Kohima.
Dr. Bilva Yalie, medical officer in-charge of UPHC Seikhazou , informed Eastern Mirror that the camp offered general consultations and screenings for hypertension, diabetes and anemia throughout the day. Other services included eye examinations conducted by ophthalmic assistant and dental check-ups by a dentist.
Yalie highlighted the provision of basic lab investigations and screenings for HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C and free distribution of medicines.
About 65 people availed health services during the camp.
Dr. Yalie further mentioned another successful check-up event at Daklane HWC earlier this month, which was attended by 62 patients.
