Health attendants trained in chain management

Dimapur, July 15 (EMN): Chief Medical Office (CMO) Phek has conducted training on logistic and supply chain management on July 14 in the CMO’s conference hall.
The main objective of the training was to orient auxiliary nurse midwifery and pharmacists about proper maintenance and record keeping of assets and stocks in the health units, the press release received here on Sunday informed.
Vaccine Logistics and Cold Chain Managers of Phek, Zuvutho, gave an introduction to logistics and supply chain management. Speaking on the types of inventory management, he said there are two types including assets and stock. He sensitised the participants on how to maintain the assets and stock in the health units.
Another resource person of the training, Khrusayi Khamo, educated the trainees of assessing stock status and inventory control system. He also spoke about monthly reporting format, indent form, issue form or challan, and monitory aspect format.
During the practical session participants were trained of how to indent the stock and calculate the monthly requirement of stock for health units.
