Head Hunters and Chedema to faceoff in Classic Cup final today

Kohima, Nov. 18 (EMN): Head Hunters Jakhama will take on Chedema Village Youth Organisation in the final match to decide the new champions of the ongoing 24th Classic Cup at the Kohima local ground on Monday.

Head Hunters will rely on heavy ball possession to create space for their strikers to find the back of the net. On the other end, Chedema will be looking for set pieces and counter attacks to break the deadlock.

Head Hunters have scored 28 goals in four matches and conceded just one goal in the tournament.

Head Hunters forward Rhitsho Mero is the leading scorer of the tournament with nine goals and his teammate Chingsha Phom behind him with seven goals also in the hunt for the golden boot.

Chedema team have managed to score only eight goals and conceded six in three matches.

Shurhosul Zhotso is the leading scorer for the team with four goals and Imlongchaba with three goals.

Nagaland Football Association president P. Atuo Mezhür Sekhose will attend the final match as the guest of honour on Monday starting from 1:30 pm.
