HBO releases official images from GOT prequel series ‘House of the Dragon’
Dimapur, May 5 (EMN): HBO released new images from the upcoming Game of Thrones (GOT) prequel series House of the Dragon on its Twitter page.
House of the Dragon is set around 300 years before the events of the original HBO series. It will focus on the history of House Targaryen and the Targaryen civil war that became known as the ‘Dance of the Dragons.’
The images show five main characters from the series set against a coastal background. This is the first official sneek-peek into the GOT prequel.

House of the Dragon is based on the book ‘Fire and Blood,’ by George RR Martin and it tells the story of the Targaryen dynasty. From Aegon’s Conquest to establishing King’s Landing as the ultimate capital, the book ends with Aegon III on the Iron Throne and the resulting death of “the last dragon.”
It is unclear how much the series will remain faithful to the novel but substantial changes to the characters and plot cannot be ruled out.
The series is set to release on HBO and on its streaming platform HBO Max in 2022.
