Hat-trick heroics light up Day 3 of Lotha Football Championship

WOKHA — The 15th edition of the Lotha Football Championship (LFC) entered its third day on Friday, with four group-stage matches delivering competitive action and standout individual performances.

In the opening match, Nitsu Yan FC defeated Airfield Colony FC 3–1. Airfield Colony took an early lead in the sixth minute through Tumben, but Nitsu Yan’s Yiben turned the match on its head with a hat-trick in the 30th, 49th and 70+2 minutes—the first hat-trick of the tournament. He was named Man of the Match.

Flamingo FC registered a convincing 3–0 victory over Emirates FC in the second encounter. Chumben opened the scoring in the 25th minute, before Renbemo (52’) and Yisanbemo (61’) sealed the win. Yisanbemo was adjudged Man of the Match.

Nyiro Range FC (NRFC) secured a 2–0 win against Tsumang FC in the third match. An own goal in the fourth minute handed NRFC an early advantage, while Gabriel doubled the lead in the 23rd minute. Imtisashi earned the Man of the Match award for his solid display.

In the final match of the day, Friends Club came from behind to defeat Old Changsu FC 2–1. Lavanthung gave Old Changsu the lead in the 43rd minute, but Neisede Peseyie struck twice in the 53rd and 60th minutes to complete a spirited comeback. Peseyie was named Man of the Match.
