Hardcore Addition wins NSACS Zero Phek

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]HE last leg of the Red Ribbon Super Star NSACS ZERO district audition culminated at Phek district. The event witnessed four talented bands on stage. Hardcore Addition was declared the winner, followed by Renaissance and Idyllic in second and third place.EAC (Sardar), Longtiba Sangtam delivered the opening speech, where he called upon the youth to impact the society in whatever field they may be.
Deputy CMO and District AIDS Control Officer, Dr Ritu Thur also gave a short speech, and challenged young people to be responsible and be agents of change in the society. He also said that the only medicine available for HIV/AIDS is ‘prevention’.
Brand Ambassador, Clueless Attention, performed a number of entertaining songs, including their original “Free”.
Devi from User’s Network Phek shared his testimony. A special dance performance was given by Mutunuzo, a local artist.
Earlier in the morning, the NSACS ZERO crew were able to reach out to a gathering of more than 1500 students from Phek Government College, Government Higher Secondary School and Bishop Abraham School, at the local ground.
Brand Ambassador, Clueless Attention, presented some special acoustic songs for the students.
Deputy Director, NSACS, Dr Zaiwang Zeliang spoke to the students on the topic of prevention from HIV/AIDS. She stressed on three basic points, which are, abstinence from harmful practices, faithfulness in everything and to care for precious life.
