Handloom and organic produce agency inaugurated
Dimapur, Feb. 26 (EMN): An initiative called “Naturally Nagaland,” stated to be a “handholding initiative” of the government of Nagaland to promote art, crafts, handlooms and organic produce of the state, was inaugurated by the principal secretary of Industries and Commerce, Lithrongla G Chishi, during a function that was conducted on February 26 at the Nagaland Emporium in Kolkata.
The publicity committee for Naturally Nagaland issued a press release on Wednesday informing about the programme.
The venture is stated to be a collaborative effort of the Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency, Nagaland Bee Keeping and Honey Mission, Nagaland Bio-resource Mission, Myki under Women Resource Development, Development of Underdeveloped Areas in partnership with Nagaland Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation, a PSU under the government of Nagaland.
‘Naturally Nagaland will be an outlet for the produce of the state, where the entrepreneurs can put their products for sale through the departments,’ said Lithrongla Chishi, according to the press release.
Marking the occasion, officials planted decorative bamboo saplings within the premises of the Nagaland Emporium in Kolkata, the updates stated.
