Dimapur, Feb. 17 (EMN): The Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry has directed its members in all the district chambers to “express their solidarity with the nation and also send out a message that terrorism has no place in our society by observing half-day shutter down” on Monday.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the confederation stated: “The half-day shutter down will exempt only medicine shops and educational institutions. Further, it appeals to the public not to be confused as it is a solidarity half-day shutter down till noon and not the total bandh.” There will no restriction on movement of vehicles.
In a separate statement, the Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the East Dimapur Business Association also announced that they will observe the half-day shutter down from morning till noon in the state’s commercial hub.
The two traders’ group have directed all shops in their jurisdiction to keep their shutters down “from morning till noon” on Monday. Exemptions are for medicine shops and educational institutions.
