Guest house for patient attendants inaugurated in Phek
DIMAPUR — The principal director of Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Ritu Thurr, on Wednesday inaugurated a guest house for patient attendants at District Hospital in Phek.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, Dr. Thurr congratulated the District Hospital for the team work in successful construction of the guest house which would benefit the public. He encouraged the service providers to continue the good team work.
He further urged the healthcare workers to be sincere, to be available in their posting place, improve the work culture and maintain discipline in their work place, an update from CMO stated on Wednesday.
The chief medical officer (CMO) of Phek, Dr. Avile Zao, presented a brief account of the guest house, while the welcome address was delivered by superintendent of District Hospital, Dr. T Ezung.
An invocation prayer was said by Kevichosa Koza, pastor of CRCP, while the dedicatory prayer was administered by Rev. Kevengoi Sakha and a song was presented by Vetulu.
The construction report was presented by Dr. Shevosa Vese.
The guest house, which was constructed with the initiative of Hospital Welfare Committee (HWC), consisted of four rooms, one dormitory and one kitchen.
It mentioned that the guest house would benefit the public especially those people coming from far flung areas. It also informed that a nominal rate would be charged for staying at the guest house.
Meanwhile, the hospital authority has appreciated the Lozaphuhu Baptist Churchfor donation a sum of INR 6 lakh towards the successful construction of the guest house.
