Dimapur, July 30 (EMN): It is learnt that a few security personnel and support staff detailed to the chief minister’s residential complex in Kohima have tested Covid-19 positive.

A reliable source informed Eastern Mirror that the tests showed positive for Covid-19 on Thursday at the Naga Hospital in Kohima.

Reliable sources informed on July 30, Thursday, that appropriate measures are being undertaken after the detection of the cases.

The personnel were not his personal bodyguards, the source informed.

It is informed that the security personnel reside in the official residential complex of the chief minister in Kohima and had come for duty as part of the regular rotation they have among security personnel.

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, who is now in quarantine, has been tested twice and both tests were negative, the source said.

Rio will be tested again, it said.
