KOHIMA — A three-day golden jubilee celebration of Council of Chakhesang Christian Revival Churches (CCCRC) commenced on Friday on the theme ‘Great is Thy Faithfulness.’

Marking the commencement of the glorious celebration, CCCRC executive secretary Rev. Z David Koza, dedicated the golden jubilee monolith at CCCRC Mission Centre, Chetheba in Phek district.

CCCRC vice chairman Pulo Koza led the dedication service while blowing of the jubilee trumpet was undertaken by CCCRC field evangelist Miileto Nienu.

CCCRC chairman, Rev. Zaseyi Veswiih, dedicated the Jubilee Memorial Park while the mission centre’s gate was dedicated by CCCRC ordination board chairman, Rev. Zhowhiiyi Nyekha.

This was followed by the consecration of the tabernacle at the multi-purpose hall, Thenyizu, led by Rev. Sanyi Nyekha, senior pastor of Chesezu CRC.

Earlier, the memorial stone of the first revival movement among the Chakhesang tribe was unveiled by Rev. Zhowhiiyi Nyekha (1958) at Khulazu Basa, to commemorate the CCCRC golden jubilee.

Also, the memorial stone of the first prayer centre (1963) among NCRC was laid at Chesezu Nasa by Rev. Buliechii Koza, senior pastor of Sodziilhou CRC, in commemoration of the CCCRC golden jubilee.

Later, in the evening worship service at Multi-Purpose Hall, Thenyizu, Rev. Dr. Vevozo Khamo, vice president of Nagaland Christian Revival Church (NCRC), addressed the congregation.

Rev. Khamo said that, presently, there are 35 revival churches and two fellowships under CCCRC. He said a jubilee is a time for reconciliation and a time to forgive and forget past misdeeds.

He stressed the need to preach the gospel, do missionary works, preach to the poor, heal the brokenhearted and restore vision to the blind.

Delivering a welcome address, golden jubilee organising committee chairman, Kiihusayi Nyekha, said that jubilee is a time of retrospection and remembering the pioneers and those who did amazing things for the Lord.

The evening service was led by Sapi Puro, pastor of CRC Chikri Nasa Colony, Pfutsero, and Rev. Dr. Kecha Seyie, chairman ACRCC, shared jubilee greetings.

The service witnessed special songs from Phek Area CRC Association and Chozuba Area CRC Association.
