Grace colony informed on dengue measures

Dimapur, Nov. 04 (EMN): The MSW students from North East Institute of Social Science and Research (NEISSR), Dimapur in collaboration with the Community Educational Centre Society (CECS) conducted an awareness programme on dengue at Grace colony at Old CECS campus, Kuda C.
Resource person, Programme Officer of NVBDCP Dr. Moa spoke on symptoms of dengue, preventive measures and medical attention required. He said with the alarming epidemically high rate of dengue problem in Dimapur measures are being taking up by the colony to minimize dengue. He urged the people to clean their surroundings at least once a week. He also cautioned that if anyone is having the similar symptoms like joint pains, typhoid like headache and fever etc. should seek medical attention since, dengue test is for free in all the government hospitals, and an amount of Rs. 450 may be charged for cart test only if the result turns out positive. Further, he also urged the people to keep their home, kitchen, bathroom and surroundings free to avoid dengue.
