DIMAPUR — The GPRN/NSCN, Khehoyi Camp, has welcomed the decision made by the leaders of UNPG/NNC led by their ato kilonser, Tsaliba Sangtam and Kilo kilonser Tono Zhimo, to integrate and join the GPRN/NSCN mainstream under the collective leadership of president RM Lotha and ato kilonser, N Kitovi Zhimomi.
In a statement, the GPRN/NSCN appreciated and recognised their decision towards consolidating the indispensable unity and shared aspiration by acknowledging the sentiments and impatience of the Naga people, which had been clearly demonstrated on November 18 at the ‘Naga Common Platform’ at Agri-expo, Chümoukedima. “This development is a significant step towards fostering a unified approach to address the long pending Indo-Naga political solution with the GoI,” it stated.
UNPG/NNC clarifies on press release
The UNPG/NNC has termed the recent press release issued by the acting ato kilonser as fictitious and deceptive with intention to create conflict and confusion within the government and the NNPGs as a whole. “The claims made through the unauthorised press release are unfounded, incorrect and not based on any official communication from the UNPG/NNC government,” the UNPG/NNC stated in a clarification. “The UNPG/NNC government aligns with the common sentiment of the people for an early and acceptable solution and will always welcome any practical and constructive step to expedite or facilitate the Naga solution and stands firmly with the WC NNPGs under the able stewardship of Gen (Retd.) MB Neokpao Konyak, convener working committee.”
