Dimapur, Nov. 29 (EMN): As a tribute to the fallen heroes and national workers, who have steadfastly served and sacrificed for the Naga people and land, GPRN/NSCN has unveiled a cemetery monolith of the martyrs during a short and solemn programme in Nihoto village under Kuhuboto sub-division, Niuland, on November 29.
The programme, initiated by the Ministry of National Social Welfare (NSW), GPRN/NSCN, was attended by members from ACL, cabinet, Naga army, secretariat and CHQ Church of GPRN/NSCN along with Dr. P Nihoto Chishi, chief of Nihoto village.
Jack Jimomi, kilo kilonser, unveiled the monolith with ribbon cutting and read out the exalting inscription of the monolith, while a dedicatory prayer for the martyr’s monolith was pronounced by Dr. Akito, pastor of CHQ Church, stated a press release issued by GPRN/NSCN through its MIP.
Dr. P Nihoto Chishi, who donated a plot of land for the martyr’s cemetery, graced the occasion and shared a few words about the background of his land donation and his patriotic concern for the Naga people.
Azheto Chophy, ACL member, GPRN/NSCN, while acknowledging the immense compassion shown by Dr. P Nihoto Chishi for the Naga national martyrs, conveyed his gratitude. Azheto Chophy also delivered a short speech on the subject of sacrifices made by the fallen Naga national workers and the plights of the families they have left behind.
Vinili Yepthomi, kilonser (NSW), shared words of thanks and the programme concluded with a benediction said by Tokali J Swu, children pastor (NGBA).
