The Nagaland Government Primary Teachers’ Association (NGPTA) was formed today in Kohima.
According to a release of the newly formed Association, its aims and objectives are to press the government for framing of service conduct rules for primary teachers, granting of central primary teacher pay scale etc.The Association was formed at ANSTA guest house Kohima, which was attended by representatives from different districts, wherein Heikieleung Zeliang has been elected as the president with Kezhalesa Kin as general secretary for a term of three years. Other officials include Mesewe Churah & Y. Zubemo Ezung as vice presidents; Wepekha Wetsah & L. Chinpon Chingkhung as joint secretaries and Kaichung Kath as treasurer.
