Govt pays ex-gratia to victims of bridge collapse

Dimapur, July 19 (EMN): In connection with the bridge collapse near CIHSR on July 11, the State government has given ex-gratia to the kith and kin of the deceased and the injured victims.
ADC Dimapur, Sara Jamir handed over the cheques to the family members of the deceased and injured victims today July 19 from the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Dimapur in the presence of EAC Chumukedima, Avizo and village chairmen of Nihoto, Naga United Village and Khehukhu villages.
The ex-gratia was paid to the deceased namely-Jaheda Ali, Rohit Devi, Sahil Ali and Bakset Ali, a sum of Rs. 4,00,000/- each as per SDRF NoA and the four injured persons namely-Amir Ali, Sanwar Ali, Krishna and Bendang were given a sum of Rs. 5000/- each for immediate relief from ERF and Rs. 54,100/- each as per SDRF NoA.
The ex-gratia was given based on preliminary report submitted by DDMA Dimapur and requires furnishing relevant documents along with actual payment receipt.
