Dimapur, May 6 (EMN): All Covid-19 testing centres both government and private hospitals/ laboratories are directed to insist for some form of government approved identification such as Aadhar card, bank passbook, ration card etc. and also to verify contact details for full address and phone/mobile number of patients before testing the individuals.
In a press release, the chief medical officer (CMO), Dimapur, Dr. Mereninla Senlem has requested those hospitals to furnish Whatsapp mobile number or email ID in order to send the test results. This was initiated to avoid any gap in contact tracing to control further spread of Covid-19 in the community.
In a separate statement, the deputy commissioner of Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie, has directed all private hospitals in Kohima district to provide treatment of Covid-19 patients as per the standard operating procedure.
The DC has also directed them to reserve at least 50% of the bed capacity of the normal wards and the ICU available with the private hospitals for treatment of Covid-19 patients.
In this regard, all private hospitals are requested to communicate on the number of beds which have been reserved to its office by May 8.
