Dimapur, Aug. 26 (EMN): The Government Hindi Institute (GHI), Dimapur welcomed BP Philip, its new principal, into the institute on August 26.
A press release issued by Hindi Instrutor of GHI, YP Singh informed that the new principal was a warm welcomed on behalf of the students’ body by Sangtsoi (teaching faculty), A S Yarthotngam (Hindi Instructor), YP Singh, ministerial staff Hekuto and ANHTU (All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union) president Rometo Sema.
While stating that GHI is the only institute that provides professional training to produce qualified Hindi teachers for the state, the speakers lamented that even after completion of 50 years of its existence, developmental activities, including academic standard are far behind the expectation of the public and higher authority as per the need of the hour and policies of the government. They also requested the principal to use his vast experience in getting the basic need of the institute for the development of Hindi education in the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Philip expressed his concern for Hindi education in the state and assured that he would do all he could to improve the infrastructure as well as academic standard as per the national norms and policies of the government by approaching the concerned authorities.
He also urged “the entire institute family to have comparative spirit to achieve the goal and produce quality and dedicated teaching manpower in the state to mould our new generation.”
