Dimapur, April 23 (EMN): Governor PB Acharya has appreciated the government’s decision to hold mini Hornbill festivals in all district headquarters coinciding with the festivals of the respective areas.
In a letter addressed to the chief minister, governor said that ‘it is a wonderful initiative which will attract tourists from home and abroad.’
However, reacting to news appeared in local dailies, wherein the Dimasa community expressed their dismay for not including Bishu festival as a part of mini Hornbill festival for Dimapur district, the governor felt that the demand for inclusion of Bishu festival may be favourably looked into as they are one of the sixteen tribes of Nagaland.
