Dimapur, November 29: State Governor PB Acharya inaugurated Bhandhan bank, Kohima branch, at Angami Public Organization building, Phulbari, opposite Oking Hospital, Kohima, on November 29.
Acharya, in his short speech, encouraged the bank to enable customers to have access and evolve effective and innovative financial solution for the people. He urged the Bandhan bank officials to dedicate themselves to help the people of Nagaland.
Earlier the zonal head of North east zone, Ranjan Gango Padhayay, in his speech, said Bhandhan bank received the approval from the Reserve Bank of India in April 2014 adding the banking regulators finance nod came on June 17. He said public shareholders includes international finance corporation among others. He also added that the bank showed accountability, professionalism and disciplines towards the citizens.
