DIMAPUR — The Governor of Nagaland La. Ganesan extended greetings to the Kachari community as they celebrate their Bishu post-harvest festival.
In a message on Friday, the governor stated that Bishu is a festival that showcases the rich cultural heritage with vibrant dances, songs and traditional rituals, and a time of thanksgiving for the bountiful harvest.
“May this festival promote better unity and understanding amongst the people of all ages and social status. Let us realise the strength of our collective efforts to promote and preserve cultural festivities, and our rich histories for the benefit of the future generations,” he said, while wishing everyone good health, and a joyous, peaceful, and prosperous life.
