DIMAPUR — Nagaland Governor La Ganesan and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have extended Ngada greetings to the Rengma brothers and sisters.

“Ngada festival is a celebration of the post-harvest with thanksgiving to the Almighty God for His bountiful blessings. It is a festival of merry-making and rejoicing, good wishes for good luck and prosperity,” the governor said in his greetings.

“It is also the festival to forgive whatever wrongs or misdeeds committed in the past and it also marks the beginning of new relationships and peace treaties.

“Let us celebrate the festival by invoking a new spirit of goodwill, forgiveness and more understanding to usher in peace and unity in our land,” Ganesan said.

“Warm Ngada greetings to the Rengma community. May this post-harvest festival remind us afresh of the Almighty’s blessings. I wish you all good health and prosperity. May the festivity strengthen bonds,” Rio wrote on X.
