DIMAPUR — Nagaland Governor La. Ganesan and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have extended Sökrönye greetings to the Chakhesang community.
The governor, in his greetings, said that Sökrönye is a harvest festival and the “essence of this beautiful festival is the sanctification and bringing forth blessing and unity amongst all the community members.”
“May the spirit of Sökrönye bring warmth, happiness and harmony as we celebrate the rich traditions and cultural heritage of the Chakhesang tribe,” Ganesan said.
Meanwhile, the chief minister also wrote in his X account, “I extend my warm greetings to the Chakhesang community on the occasion of Sükrünye. May the festival of sanctification and purification bring blessings of fruitfulness in the year ahead. I wish you all a happy Sükrünye.”
