DIMAPUR — Governor La. Ganesan has urged the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) to take all necessary measures to mitigate the damages caused by landslides and complete all works along National Highway 29 stretch at the earliest.
A Raj Bhavan press release informed that the governor had relayed this message during a meeting with the Director (Technical) of NHIDCL, Atul Kumar, along with other officials, at Chümoukedima on Saturday.
A massive landslide triggered by torrential downpour on the night of September 4 had claimed the lives of 6 people in Pherima along NH 29.
