Governor Acharya fetes Naga mothers

Dimapur, March 27 (EMN): Governor PB Acharya appreciated to the call made by the Naga Mothers’ Association for aid towards the fire affected people at Khermahal in Dimapur.
The Governor stressed that every organised group should take care of the society in time of need. Appealing for help or aid in newspapers and other platforms should only be the beginning to address the issues, he said.
He further called upon the various organisations to do something for the society in their organised strength. The sentiment towards helping the society should be there. the Governor observed.
The Governor, meanwhile, expressed sadness on the demise of the former MLA, Wokshing Phom, who passed away on March 26 in Dimapur. In a condolence message addressed to Mrs Apokla and wife of late Wokshing Phom, the Governor said the State has lost a politician who was always concerned about the welfare of the people.
The Governor said late Wokshing Phom had served the people of Nagaland in different capacities as a pastor, chairman of Tamlu Area Council and Member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly. The Governor stated that his demise has left a great void which will be hard to fill.
