Dimapur, Dec. 2 (EMN): Directorate of School Education informed that the ‘Pratham Education Foundation’ is providing free online teacher training and professional development initiative ‘Gurushala’ funded by Vodafone Foundation and Indus Towers Ltd. The initiative was aimed at building capacity and skills of school teachers to effectively use digital technology so as to positively impact the learning levels of students.
It stated that ‘Gurushala’ team organises regular online trainings, workshops, subject expert sessions and competitions based on the needs and requirements of states and teachers. It added that they would be preparing a pre-training communication plan with teachers that could align with their immediate requirements on the basis of information provided during the registration process.
The School Education department, therefore, directed teachers serving in all government schools throughout the state to get themselves registered at the ‘Gurushala teacher training’ link provided at the teachers’ App or at DoSE online education services portal (https://dosenl.in) during the period between December 3 to the 22nd. Head of institutions of all government schools are also directed to ensure that a minimum of 75 % of teachers serving in their schools register for the programme without fail.
