Temsunaro Aier along with the officials and students during
the inauguration of the Government Primary School in Hongphoi village, Mon, on
Monday.
- DIMAPUR — Temsunaro
Aier, Development Commissioner and State Mission Director of Samagra Shiksha,
Nagaland, inaugurated Government Primary School, Hongphoi Village, Mon, on
Monday.
- According to a DIPR report, speaking on the occasion, she
congratulated the Village Council for the successful completion of the new
school building without any hindrance and expressed her gratitude for the
community's support and the cooperation from civil societies.
- Stating that it marked a new chapter in the field of
education in the village, a day of joy and jubilation, she encouraged the
students to study well, stating that success does not depend on a good school
building or a good English school; it all depends on individual hard work.

- She also explained the importance of the foundation laid
down for children. She requested the parents to provide the basic requirements
of the children and give equal importance to church and school.
- Aier said that the New Educational Policy challenges the
teaching community to adopt it. Education is all-round development, not only
classroom teaching. Giving notes and letting students memorise is not enough.
Focus on each child's competency and motivate the child's learning, she added.
- She was accompanied by Joint Mission Director Dr. Kevizakie
Rio, State Coordinator of Samagra Shiksha Meren, junior engineer Yonghok, and
DEO Mon Enibemo Shitio. The school construction was funded by Samagra Shiksha
and consisted of five rooms.
