Government issues notification on land compensation for NH projects

DIMAPUR — In accordance with the Cabinet's approval, the Government of Nagaland has issued a notification to facilitate efficient development of National Highway projects in the state.

As per the notification, henceforth, land and damage compensation will be provided to individual and community landowners for the construction of all National Highway roads declared by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) in the state.

The notification extends to the acquisition of land required for the construction of National Highway projects and additional land/Right of Way (RoW), necessary for development beyond the existing road in the present National Highways.

The notification comes into immediate effect, a DIPR report stated.
