Government allows schools to resume regular classes

Dimapur, Jan. 28 (EMN): In pursuance to the government’s order dated January 21, the principal director of School Education, Shanavas C, informed that all schools functioning within Nagaland has been permitted to resume conduct of regular classes for students from classes 6 and above with effective from February 8 by strictly adhering to SOP/ guidelines.

The academic calendar 2021 is appended for strict compliance by all concerned.

The notification stated that 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month would be utilised for class tests/ co-curricular activities/ life skills/ social works etc.

It also stated that all general holidays notified by the state government should compulsorily be observed as state/ national holidays along with three local restricted holidays.

It also informed that specific schedules for the conduct of examinations would be notified by the concerned authorities empowered to conduct the examinations. It further added that events of national importance notified by the government of India should be observed by all schools functioning within Nagaland.
