Gospel concert at Kohima in aid of Myanmar Mission Project

In aid of Myanmar Mission Project, the Angami Christian Revival Youth Association (ACRYA) is organising a gospel concert on November 6 at 4:30 pm at NBCC Convention Centre, Kohima with Minister for Rural Development, REPA, CL John as the chief guest. In a press conference held at Hotel Ura this evening, the organising committee said the main purpose of the concert is not only to raise fund but also as a platform to present the gospel to the people through singing. Highlighting on the background of the concert and its mission project at Myanmar, Rev Dr Neivotso Neikha, Convenor Myanmar Mission Project said Myanmar which mostly comprised of 50 Naga major tribes are in real need of help, logistic support and spiritual knowledge.Dr Neikha stated there is an urgency in propaganding and spreading the gospel to the world, which is a duty of every christian and that, he said is obeying God’s commandments. While stating that it is only trying to put its desire in action through this concert, he also added that ‘this is a God given opportunity to extend our help and support to our Naga brothers and sisters who are in need of economic upliftment and educational awareness’. He also informed that the Myanmar government has already offered a land for its mission project, and plans are on the pipeline for opening of Bible schools and colleges. It is also planning to organised vocational training like masonary, carpentry, tailoring etc to enable them to earn their livelihood which will improve their economic status, and at the same time feed them with spiritual teachings too. The gospel concert will saw the performance of Dr Benny Prasad from Bangalore, the inventor of Bentar, world’s first Bongo Guitar who will also share his testimony. Dr Benny is the main who travelled to 245 countries in two years singing and sharing his testimony to the people. He also performed at 2007 Military World; 2006 FIFA World Cup and 2004 Olympic Games. Besides, the concert will features prominent local artistes like Keneilezonuo Chale, Dziesekhrienuo Keretsü, Vibeizonuo Rüpreo, Symphony Academy of Music, CRC Kohima Village Youth Choir, 5xn Brothers and many more. Meanwhile the organising has informed that city buses will be provided for the public at every regular points from Lierie to NBCC for both pick-up and dropping for the concert. Hence, all the public are informed to be at the regular points for the same. Tickets for the concert which is priced at Rs 100/- for chair and Rs 5000/- and above for patrons are available at Rendezvous Hotel, Sports World, Bible House, PK-12 Provision, North Hill, Arcade Building, High School junction and De Oriental Grande, Themezie. However, it also informed that tickets will be made available at the venue too. The organising committee has also informed that free dinners will be provided for all its patrons and special invitees, while also informing that irrespective of denominations all pastors and full time church workers will be given free entry, whereby they have to identify themselves at the gate for the same. The press conference was addressed by the Convenor Organising Committee, Kevitso-o Tetso, members organising committee, Pastor Khriesakuo Kerütsü and Khriezo Suokhrie and president ACRYA, Neikuosielie Rhiepfü.
