Gorkha Baptist Church Kiphire marks World Sunday School Day

DIMAPUR — The Gorkha Baptist Church (GBC) Kiphire observed World Sunday School Day-cum-Graduation Day 2025, to express gratitude and honour the children of the church for their growth in faith and learning.

The programme began with a prayer led by Arang Sapkota, Sunday school teacher, followed by a session of praise and worship presented by the children, an update stated. The opening segment concluded with a prayer seeking strength and blessings from God to begin the day’s celebration in unity and joy.

The Sunday school children presented a melodious group song titled ‘Bible Ka Naya Niyam,’ followed by an action song, ‘Rim Rim Tara Rim Rim,’ performed by Sera and friends.

A short skit presented by the tiny tots added both meaning and reflection to the celebration. The performance portrayed how parents and elders play a vital role in shaping the character and habits of children.

The highlight of the event was the graduation ceremony, during which Kusum Khadka, Suraj Poudel, and Ritsase Rai, were honoured with certificates and gifts in recognition of their successful completion of Sunday school.

The ceremony was followed by a prayer from Dr.  Bhim Sapkota, Pastor of GBCK, who prayed for God’s wisdom and blessings upon the children, asking that they be guided to grow into God-fearing men and women devoted to His service.
