Google to debut Android 14 on October 4 alongside Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro

Google is all set to launch the new Android 14 OS alongside its newest lineup of flagship Pixel phones on October 4. The launch date of the new OS was apparently confirmed by Canadian carrier Telus.

The company wrote in a recent forum post that all Pixel devices including the Pixel 4a will be getting the “Android U” update on October 4. It may be mentioned that U stands for Upside Down Cake, which is the internal code name for Android 14.

The post has since been taken down but this could also mean that Google may have asked Telus to take it down after the news went viral on the internet.

Google has yet to officially confirm the news of its new OS launch but the company has already confirmed the launch of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones on October 4.
