Dimapur, Oct. 27 (EMN): Government Middle School (GMS), K Khel, Viswema, has organised its annual literary and cultural day on October 27 with Rusovil John, member secretary of Nagaland Pollution Control Board (NPCB) as the special guest.
The special guest, in his speech, talked on the need to know the importance of cultural celebrations like Hornbill Festival to conserve one’s own identity. He also spoke on the need of having a clean environment.
The school conducted competitions in different events such as folktale writing, drawing traditional attires, cultural dance, tati, folk song and spell bee.
The programme was chaired by Wangshei Konyak, a Class VIII student, while Nokerhenu Tsukru and Binita Karki of Standard IV and II pronounced the word of God and prayer respectively. Keneiseu Vitsu, the school head teacher, delivered the welcome address and Kilamhungle, Class VII student, pronounced the vote of thanks.
