With the aim to create awareness in grooming industry to research, develop and merge with other cultures across the world integrating uniqueness and diverse styles of customs and tradition and to generate avenues by professionalizing the grooming industry, the Season 2 of ‘Color Trophy’, a Hair Styling and Make-Up contest was held today at Niathu Resort with Parliamentary Secretary for Urban Development Zhaleo Rio as the Chief Guest.
Addressing the gathering at the event Zhaleo Rio expressed his delight to be gracing the occasion as a legislature. Articulating Dimapur be a progressing city as well as a notorious city he wished that even elders were present for the occasion but hope that in future every events are witnessed by young and old alike. He stated that the presence of elders in such kind of occasion will bridge the gap between parents and children. Looking forward to making Dimapur a smart city with good infrastructure, transportation and citizens, he called for the joint effort of every citizen to make Dimapur a smart city and create employment opportunities for our benefit where Naga’s can be proud of.
The contest were judged under four rounds-Color trophy, Street fashion style, and Evening fashion long hair and Bridal make up by renowned Pianist Nise Meruno and Freelance Make-Up artist Valerie.
With participation from 28 makeup artist & hair stylist and 48 models displaying their creation under the four rounds, the Color Trophy 2014 Title (Color/Style/Technique) was bagged by Artist Anju who was awarded with cash prize of Rs 30,000. The Street Fashion Style (Gents) was bagged by O. Lemlila with cash Prize of Rs 15,000. The Evening Fashion Long Hair Up (Ladies) was bagged by Kaliho who was awarded with cash prize of Rs 15,000. And the Bridal make-Up was bagged by Lomi with cash prize of Rs 15,000.
