Girl Child Day celebrated at St. Joseph School Niuland

DIMAPUR — With an aim to provide young girls a platform to showcase their artistic skills but to raise awareness about the importance of empowering and supporting girl children, the district administration of Niuland organised International Girl Child Day at St. Joseph School in Niuland on October 11.

As many as three students each from five schools in the district participated in the painting competition organised as part of the celebration, informed a delayed report received on Friday.

The celebration emphasized the significance of providing equal opportunities and a conducive environment for the growth and development of girls in society, it said.
