Kohima, August 10 (EMN): NSS unit of Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Pfütsero on Thursday launched the observance of Swatchhta Pakhwada, a cleanliness fortnight campaign at Pfütsero by conducting cleanliness drive at the school compound.
The Swatchhta Pakhwada which is being observed from August 1 and to continue till August 15, the NSS will be expanding its activity of cleanliness drive during this period.
At the short inaugural programme, Kelhikha Kenye, vice principal of the school, exhorted the students to cultivate the habit of voluntary spirit towards community service and make difference in the society as NSS volunteers.
Programme officer NSS, Vevosayi Tetseo, challenged the students to be always prepared to render community service not only in the school but wherever they are. He also explained the purpose of cleanliness fortnight campaign launched throughout the state by State NSS to spread the cleanliness awareness and made Swatchh Bharat campaign successful. Further, he urged the volunteers to spread the message of cleanliness to people to make India a truly cleaner and better place.
